The Qatar International Baja is Round 5 of the FIM Bajas World Cup, organised by the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) and based at the Lusail International Circuit.

Riders tackle a demanding two-day route through the northern, central and southern Qatar deserts — one of the most formidable navigational challenges on the world rally calendar.

Gata lines up as rider #18 on a Kove 450 Rally EX, competing as a privateer alongside 45 motorcycle riders from 17 countries — including factory-backed Dakar veterans and FIM World Cup championship leaders.

The FIM Bajas World Cup is an international rally-raid series for motorcycles and quads. Now in its 15th season, it visits desert and off-road venues across four continents — each round demanding speed, navigation skill and mechanical endurance in equal measure.

Qatar is the final round (Round 5 of 5) for 2026 — a formidable navigation challenge through open desert that has been won by Dakar-level competitors. Riders navigate using roadbooks, GPS units and pace notes over two days of timed special stages.
